Pasco County, Florida - Catie Mansfield, qualified Monday, April 20, 2020, in the race for Pasco County Court Judge, Group 5, an open seat created by a retirement.
Catie Mansfield currently serves as the Senior Staff Attorney for the Pasco Sheriff’s Office where she has handled over 100 administrative hearings. She assists law enforcement with criminal, civil, and county ordinance issues, is assigned to risk protection orders, forfeitures, derelict vessel cases, and provides legal advice to law enforcement.
Prior to joining the Sheriff’s Office Ms. Mansfield first served as an Assistant State Attorney of the 6th Judicial Circuit, covering Pasco and Pinellas counties, where she tried over 20 criminal cases, including misdemeanors and felonies, and hundreds of cases that were resolved before trial.
Catie has dedicated her career to the service of the people of Pasco County and is looking forward to continuing her commitment to the community that shaped her. Catie is the only candidate in the race who works and grew up in Pasco County. She attended Pasco public schools where her Mother was a teacher. Catie prides herself on being Pasco Proud!
When Catie isn’t attending hearings as an essential worker, she’s volunteering for organizations including Kids Helping Kids and One Community Now. She is a member of the West Pasco Bar, the East Pasco Bar, the Sixth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee, and is going into her 21st year coaching in the Challenger Basketball League for persons with Down Syndrome and Autism in Pasco County. Catie is proud of the way the community shows support for one another, she commented: “Pasco is truly a resilient community and I am proud to serve here”.
Catie Mansfield comes from a devout public service and law enforcement family, all of which has played a role in shaping her character. Catie and her fiancé Brian reside in Pasco County with Catie’s dog, Tuck.
