TRINITY – Catherine “Catie” Mansfield, a lifelong resident of Pasco County, today filed to run for Pasco County Judge, Group 5.
Ms. Mansfield is a product of Pasco County Public Schools, received a BA in psychology with a minor in criminal justice from the University of North Florida, and she received her JD from Florida Coastal School of Law with a Certification in Sports Law and pro bono hours for her work with the Office of the Public Defender of the 4th Judicial Circuit of Florida.
After law school, Ms. Mansfield first served as an Assistant State Attorney of the 6th Judicial Circuit where she tried over 20 criminal cases, including misdemeanors and felonies and hundreds of cases that were resolved before trial. In 2015 she joined the Pasco Sheriff’s Office where she now serves as Senior Staff Attorney and has handled over 100 administrative hearings. She assists law enforcement with criminal, civil, and county ordinance issues, is assigned to risk protection orders, forfeitures, derelict vessel cases, and provides legal advice to law enforcement.
Ms. Mansfield is dedicated to serving the citizens as a fair and honest jurist and will faithfully, ethically, and impartially uphold the law.
Ms. Mansfield has a history of professional and community service including West Pasco Bar Association Board Member since 2016, East Pasco Bar Association, Florida Association for Police Attorneys, Florida Bar Grievance Committee Sixth Circuit, Women Lawyers of Pasco, Suncoast Youth Basketball Association Challenger Division, Special Olympics, Great American Teach-In and much more.
